About Emmi College of Nursing
– GNM Program

The Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) at Emmi College of Nursing is a 3-year full-time program designed to prepare future-ready nursing professionals with strong foundations in patient care, clinical skills, and midwifery. Recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the respective State Nursing Council, the GNM course at Emmi equips students with the competence and compassion required for hospital, community, and maternal healthcare services. With high-quality academic instruction, hands-on learning in simulation labs, and extensive clinical rotations, students are trained in a variety of healthcare environments—from primary care centers to specialized hospitals. Emphasis is placed on holistic care, infection control, maternal and child health, emergency nursing, and mental health services. Guided by experienced faculty and nurse educators, the GNM program nurtures clinical judgment, ethical reasoning, emotional resilience, and patient advocacy, enabling students to provide safe, ethical, and culturally competent care.
Through a rigorous curriculum integrating advanced classroom instruction and hands-on clinical practice, students acquire proficiency in patient assessment, evidence-based interventions, nursing informatics, and specialized care across life stages.

Our facilities include high-fidelity simulation labs, anatomy models, and interactive skill centers that mirror real hospital settings. This infrastructure, combined with internationally certified faculty, ensures students graduate with the knowledge and confidence required to excel in modern healthcare environments.

Emmi College of Nursing places a strong emphasis on global exposure through exchange programs, research collaborations, and clinical internships with partner hospitals in India and abroad.

Students are also immersed in transcultural nursing, mental health advocacy, critical care, and geriatric health to ensure holistic development. With a curriculum built in collaboration with top healthcare institutions and regulatory bodies, we aim to produce next-generation nurse leaders, equipped to lead with clinical excellence, technological agility, and emotional intelligence.
